Flooding in Canterbury
Wal about the damage that the rain has caused in Canterbury.
We had big puddles and a lot of blocked gutters and drains in Chrischurch over the last couple of days.
We have had to try stay safe and away from the surface flooding. This has been caused by some of the drains being blocked with leaves and the water can’t drain away.
The flood has caused sewage and other pollution to overflow and now a lot of the water is contaminated. If you come in contact with the contaminated water you must shower and wash your clothes.
Some schools have been damaged and have had to work in the hall. Some of the power cells have been flooded and damaged. There have been evacuations from some houses.
The rivers have broken their banks and there has also been strong gusts of wind.

Funrun
Kia ora. Yesterday on November 18th My school Did a Funrun. Ok some of you might be thinking what is she talking about, So a few days ago Me and my school entered a Kids Can fundraiser. the reason why we entered it was because they have done alot for us. They give us fruit for people that dont have lunch or dont have much lunch. They give us heaps and heaps of stuff so we decided to give back to Kids Can by entering the Funrun. So The first thing we did before the funrun was the best dressed class, the best dressed class got a mufti day. Sadly my class did not get best dressed class but thats fine. Now here are some photos on what we looked like and the Funrun obstacles.
Those are all the pictures for now

Office Childrens commissioner
It all started on Monday the 9th of November. Yesterday when I was at school they came back and they had a little talk about bullying and that New Zealand is the worst country for bullying. They played games and after that they had a talk. We had Subway for lunch and some sweet juice. We did our haka and sung some songs. Now that all for now GOODBYE.
